Arguably TREK's most flexible platform. This venerable series is capable of a trans-continental slog or an around the corner beer run. Prefer the latter. Relaxed yet responsive sport touring geometry. 1981 Waterloo hand built, silver brazed, lugged Reynolds 531 double-butted frame and fork. Serial # 0057XX. Seat tube c-c = 52cm, top tube c-c = 54.5 / 30.25" standover (suitable for a 5'6"+/- rider). 700c Rigida clinchers laced to 36 hole Campagnolo Tipo low flange hubs. . . butter. Straight (dropouts aligned), no crashes, shiny on the inside, sporting braze-ons and eyeletes w/ plenty of fender clearance. Like tossing hot dogs down a bowling alley.
