"New Old Stock" 56cm Peugeot road bike assembled recently after 22 years in storage
Frame/Fork and all components were stored in climate control storage unit.
I purchased this bike from the original owner and operator of The Spoke Shop in Plano, Texas (who purchased the bike in 1987).
The original owner sold the Shimano 105 components that came stock on the bike, but in 1988 another bike was shipped to The Spoke Shop with Ultegra 600 components and a damaged frame - the Ultegra groupo was then put on this bike. This is how the 1987 Triathlon ended up with 1988 Ultegra 600 components
Frame/Fork are doubled butted Super Vitus 980 chromoly tubing
Shimano Ultegra 600 Components :
Brakes, cables and levers
Both deraileurs and shift levers
Pedals/Christophe Straps and cranks with 53/42 gearing
Both wheel hubs (7 spd) and headset
7 speed 12 -21 600 casette with Shimano UG chain
All Other Components :
Dura Ace 90mm bar stem
SR Custom Modolo Patent Anatomic Bend bar/Cinelli Tape
SR Laprade Post with Leather Turbo SLG Saddle
700c Araya Super Hard Anodized CTL-370 Rims with Eyelets
36 stainless steel spoked wheels
700 x 18c/130psi IRC Kevlar Forte Tires
This bike is absolutely immaculate, never seen asphalt or the out-of-doors, and was built when Peugeot was still French and French-made; not owned by Schwinn. If you love vintage, steel rides, then this is for you. I bought the bike thinking I would put it on rollers for winter training, but never did.
Bank Check / Cash are all acceptable forms of payment. Feel free to get in touch with questions.
