1981 Voyageur
Up for auction is this bike from my collection, a vintage 1981 Schwinn Chrome Voyageur 11.8 that has been restored to perfection! Every part on this beauty has been cleaned to perfection. The chrome frame shines as new, with very little decal imperfections, absolutely no dents, road rash or any imperfections.
This chrome Voyageur is extremely rare and resembles the chrome Paramounts that are also highly sought after. A Brooks saddle complements the restoration with absolutely no damage or wear. I have well over a $1200 invested in this fine example and this is one of the finest touring bikes available at any cost. Bike is extremely light since the frame is 11.8kg in weight. During the restoration the bottom bracket, headset, wheel bearing were replaced and packed with Shimano grease. All inner cables were replaced. The aluminum wheelset are all true with no bumps or any road rash.
The 100% all chrome frame is made in Japan of double butted 4130 chrome-molly tubing with no rust or dents. Gum colored diacompe brake hoods with no discoloration or noted wear.
