Vintage TREK 420 Sport tourer- 24" frame - $320 (Roberts WI)

This vintage Trek 420 turned out to be a little tall for me (33 1/2 in standover height) and needs a good home. This is a nice solid light touring bike with a 24" double butted Tange chrom moly steel frame with a longer wheel base and rear rack mounts. It has 18 speeds with Simplex derailleurs and shifters and a SR 28/45/50 crank. It has smooth running 27" alloy wheels with new grease and brand new (zero miles) Zaffiro Vittoria 1 1/8" tires (they were mounted after these pictures were taken). As expected with the age there are a few nicks in the paint that have been touched up but no rust or damage. It has new handle bar tape also.
It has been overhauled and tuned up and is ready for use for day trips, or a longer tour and would make a great commuter with clearance for fenders. It would be for someone around 6' or taller. I can meet near Eagan or St Paul if necessary. Cash only please. I have other road bikes listed also -- search for the word bikecycle.
