In addition to their renowned single-rider Paramount road bikes, for a number of years, Schwinn also produced a Paramount deluxe tandem "bicycle built for two". Marketed as a "15-speed touring and sports model for those who demand the best", this beautiful ride features the following construction and OEM components;
4130 Chrome Moly mainframe tubes with fillet-brazed joints
Campagnolo aluminum alloy three piece cranks with36-46-54 main wheel
Campagnolo Record large flange quick release hubs
Schwinn-approved GT-300 rear derailleur
Huret Success front derailleur
Mafac Cyclometeur brakes with braze on fittings
Mathauser brake blocks
Campagnolo seat posts
Brooks leather saddles
Approximately 43 lbs in weight
Finished in yellow sometimes referred to as "Kool Lemon"
This two-owner bike is unusual in that most T32-9 models were constructed with the same length seat tubes in the front and rear positions. This custom-built frame (which I have the original build sheet for) features a slightly shorter rear seat tube and an angled top tube for the stoker. I obtained this bike with Look clips but probably have at least one set of the Campagnolo SL Black pedals that would have come on this bike from the factory. A truly one of a kind premium quality vintage tandem in unmolested, original and ride able condition. $1250 or best offer. Delivery and limited shipping available. Interesting trades also considered.
