MARUISHI WANDERER Touring Bike - quad butted ISHIWATA Tubes - PICS! - $600 (Greenpoint) Powered by Leaflet — Terms Diamond St. at Driggs Ave. 49cm Maruishi Wanderer in fantastic condition. Paint and all parts are in very good to excellent condition. Shimano biopace crank, Shimano Deore indexed rear derailleur. Nitto Grand Randonneur 135 handlebar, Nitto stem, SR seatpost, MKS pedals. 40 spoke rear Araya rim, 36 spoke Araya front rim, Suzue sealed bearing hubs. This is a dream bike, the workmanship on the frame is incredible. Top quality all round much nicer than a Miyata 1000, one of the nicest things about this bike is that it easily fits 700 x 32c tires with fenders. The bike comes with the stock 27" wheels but I have tried it with 700 x 32c wheels and there is lots of room for this to work, you can achieve excellent an excellent fender line that matches well front and rear with lots of room at 700 x 32c. Very hard to find an nice vintage frame that will fit fenders like this. I would definitely keep this bike if it was my size, unfortunately it's a bit small which is the ONLY reason I'm selling. I would actually consider a trade for something similar that fits 32c's with fenders. Another thing to note about this bike is that even though the frame size (measured from center to center) is 49cm the standover height is about 30 1/2 inches which makes this a big bike for its seat tube size. The top tube length is also long (54cm) so it will work for slightly taller riders. Please see my extensive pictures belwo. Saddle is NOT included, comes with original Vetta saddle.
